Hyundai Curb Concept in Detroit Auto Show
Hyundai has gained fame over the last years, with their innovation in sophisticated technology, comfortable ride, and stylish car. Some of the last Hyundai products even managed to be awarded as environmentally friendly car or chosen as the customers’ favorite choice.
Now, the company has introduced and shown the concept for their new product of Hyundai Curb, with small and compact design for city car, in Detroit Auto Show. The car will use the hatchback design to accommodate 4 passengers. The design is created to compete against the Nissan Juke, with new edgy look. The name “curb” itself comes from the blending of the word crossover and urban, so it’s really clear that the target consumers for this car is for city people with busy activities among the busy, crowded street.
There is no detail explanation or specifications concerning the Curb, but from the look alone, you can tell that it’s a type of strong, muscular, and solid car, equipped with spoiler mounted on the roof, wheels with five spoke features, short and snub nose, and a spear-look-alike cutting on the bodyline parts. The interior side offers clean look, with wavy stripes and slim and compact seats. Hyundai will release the detail specifications later.

Regular Car Maintenance Plan
Regular maintenance on your alternative fuel vehicles will prolong the lifespan of your vehicle and the maintenance cost. In the previous articles we have discusses about the lists of the things you need to do in maintaining your alternative fuel vehicle from every 300 miles to 15.000 miles or weekly to 6 months. Here are the next lists to do in the next time and mileage intervals.
Every 30,000 miles or 30 months you need to drain, flush and refill cooling system, and manual transmission oil, if equipped. You also need to drain and refill automatic transmission fluid and change filter (normal conditions) and it is also necessary to drain and refill differential oil. The next thing to do is to replace fuel filter and air filter element if you operate your vehicle in normal conditions). Do not forget to clean and repack the wheel bearings as well as check and service the emissions system component.
Operating vehicles in severe condition like often having short trips, driving in harsh dusty or particularly humid conditions, requires enhanced maintenance intervals. What are you supposed to do then? In every 3,000 miles or 3 months you need to change engine oil and filter. In every 15,000 miles air filter element needs to be changed. It is also necessary to drain and replace automatic transmission fluid and change the filter

What to Do on Car Fire?
Car fire turns out something that often happens. Between 2003 and 2005 alone, a person a day was reported to die from car fire. In 2007, there were about 258,000 car fire incidents and about 385 died during the incidents and leaving other 1,675 people injured. No one knows for sure why this incident could have happened. The most likely cause is the poor maintenance and treatment for the car. The cars involved in the incidents were also suspected not having enough or proper inspection, service, or tune up.
Knowing the fact, it’s best for you to start preparing in case it happens to you. Let’s hope it won’t happen, but there’s nothing wrong by getting prepared, right? Here’re the few things you should follow:
1. Always keep a fire extinguisher inside your car.
2. When you smell something burning, pull over immediately and stop the engine fast.
What if your car is already catches on fire?
1. It’s natural to be panic, but be calm. Signal and move to the right lane.
2. Stop the car and the engine, and make sure you (or your passengers) get out quickly.
3. Get away as far as you can.
4. Call 911 and the fire department.
5. Keep other people far from your burning car.

Make Your Passengers Content in Long Distance Driving
Sometimes you need to do a very long driving trip with your family and kids, especially when it’s holiday. It won’t be a problem if it’s only you and you alone doing the long trip. But it will be a fuss when the long drive involves your kids. If you don’t prepare the things you need or you don’t know how to handle them, the trip can be stressful instead of fun and enjoyable.
So, to make your passengers (and you) happy and cheerful during the trip, you might want to consider these following tips:
1. Make sure you’ve prepared everything that you’re all need during the trip. Games, music, books, … all the entertainment things that can lift up all of your spirits and moods. Bring a lot of snacks and drinks. If it’s winter, it’s also a good idea to bring the blankets, flashlights, extra gloves or mittens, and medicine, especially if one of you has certain illness or allergies.
2. Safety comes first, so make sure everyone and everything is safe. Check the engine, tires, windshield, and other important parts. It’s better to have your car serviced a few days before starting the trip. And never forget using the seat belt.
3. Always obey the rules everywhere you are. Make sure you read the rules carefully, especially when you have to do trips between different states.
